Guest Service Associate - Travel Industry (Customer Service / Travel Coordination)

Pay: $20-$21/hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
Type: Contract-to-Hire (90 days)
Location: 100% Onsite - Edina, MN

About the Role

The Guest Service Associate provides frontline customer support for travelers by delivering prompt, accurate, and professional assistance. This position handles high-volume inbound calls, email support, documentation guidance, and troubleshooting.

Ideal for candidates who enjoy problem-solving, relationship building, and helping customers navigate travel-related processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Answer 30-50 inbound customer service calls per day related to travel bookings and trip coordination
  • Assist travelers with reservations, travel questions, and itinerary support
  • Process customer inquiries via phone and email with urgency and accuracy
  • Guide travelers through documentation requirements such as passports, visas, and international travel regulations
  • Support customers in uploading travel documents and navigating online systems
  • Troubleshoot basic technology or process issues with patience and clarity
  • Stay informed on international travel guidelines, advisories, and requirements
  • Provide empathetic service and de-escalate concerns professionally
  • Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple systems and tasks
  • Identify and report customer trends or recurring issues

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of customer service experience (retail, call center, hospitality, restaurant, or reception welcome)
  • Strong communication skills: listening, writing, researching, decision-making
  • High level of patience, empathy, and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple computer systems
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Bonus: Experience supporting senior customers or working in senior living/retirement communities
